Hackathon · Sejm RP · 10–11 December 2026

Outplaying disinformation

From December 9 to 11, 2026, the Column Hall (Sala Kolumnowa) of the Polish Sejm will become a space for collaboration between game creators, teachers, and young people. Over 2 days, interdisciplinary teams will jointly develop concepts, mechanics, and scenarios for educational games focused on cybersecurity and countering disinformation. We will harness the potential of video games to create new ways of recognizing manipulation, developing critical thinking, and navigating the digital world with awareness.

About the hackathon

This will not be an ordinary hackathon. Every team will include experienced developers from the games industry, participants of the "Girls in the Game" ("Dziewczyny w grze") scholarship program, teachers, and students.
During the hackathon, participants will turn their ideas into concrete solutions: from developing assumptions and concepts to creating first prototypes.
The hackathon will culminate in a presentation of the teams' results and a debate on the role of games in modern education, the development of critical thinking, and digital competencies.
